This is a photograph of the Alberta College Commercial Hockey Club in the 1910-1911 season. The players in the photograph are arranged much how they would be now, in rows wearing their jerseys and holding their hockey sticks. The photo’s arrangement and distinctive black and white colouring are reflective of the era in which it was taken. The names of the players are listed at the bottom, similarly to how they would be displayed today. The serious expressions on the faces of the players has been a long-lasting tradition as well, with many modern-day players photographed showing similar expressions!
