Past Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum managing director Marilyn Spicer passes away

Marilyn Rose Spicer died in Edmonton on March 16, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born in Sexsmith AB to Ernest Victor and Sybil Jean Spicer. She lived all her life in Alberta in Sexsmith, Calgary, Red Deer, Innisfail and Edmonton.

Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband David Cameron, her soulmate and best friend, her loving daughter Lesli Flaman (Becky Ruscher), her loving son Chris Flaman-Haley and father of her dear grandchildren Nicklaus, Alexa (Aiden Doel), and Robert, their mother Kathy and step daughters Elizabeth Asham (Darcy), Roberta Cameron (Chris Maxemuck), step son Bruce Cameron (Kerri) and step grandsons Cameron, Michael, Judd, Cole and Daniel. Other cherished family members are her brother Donald Spicer(Anita), niece Nancy McInenly (Jarett), Hunter, Kaci, nephew Patrick Spicer (Shannon Gordon), Eloise, Maven, nephew Andrew Spicer, along with brothers-in-law Keith (Joan), Graham (Darlene), Bruce(Barb), their families, cousins and many friends.

Marilyn requested that no funeral or reception be held but asked that consideration be given of a donation to The Cross Cancer Institute c/o Alberta Cancer Foundation 11560 University Ave., Edmonton AB T6G 1Z2.
